General Protection(GP) occurs during spellcheck due to different .DLL file.
Cause:
The Soft-Art shared spelling checker uses a different DLL file (MSSPELL.DLL) from the one used by the International CorrectSpell spelling checker (MSSPEL2.DLL) supplied with Word.
Solution:
Edit the 'Spelling' command line in the '[Microsoft Word]' section of C:\WINDOWS\WINWORD7.INI.
1) Open C:\WINDOWS\WINWORD7.INI from 'Notepad':
a) Click 'Start' todisplay the Windows 'Start' menu.

b) Select 'Programs' and select 'Accessories'.
c) Select 'Notepad'. (Notepad opens.)
d) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Open...'. (The Open dialog box appears.)
e) Select 'C:\WINDOWS' from the 'Look in' list box.
f) Type WINWORD7.INI in the 'File name' box.
g) Click 'Open'. (The file opens in Notepad.)
2) Position the insertion point at the 'Spelling' command line of the '[Microsoft Word]' section of the file.
3) Replace 'MSSPELL.DLL' with 'MSSPEL2.DLL' in the command line.
4) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close'.
5) Click 'Yes' tosave the changes.
